An important thing to do to achieve the change you want in your life is to visualize the life you want or to actually try the life you want.

I recently watched Ed Mylett on youtube when he was on the tom bilyeu podcast and one of the most interesting thing he said was that our minds like what is familiar. He said that if negativity and poverty is what we are familiar with then that is what we will be surrounded by. In order to change that, you need to visualize what you want.

Not only did Ed do that himself, but he also went a step further and sampled it himself. He said that he would go to nice hotels whenever he had enough money just to see what it was like to be wealthy. Eventually he did this so much that he convinced himself that he belonged with wealthy people. He would stay in luxurious hotels, golf and his wife would go to the spa.

In his case, it was actually sampling what he wanted in his life, but he says that isn’t necessary if it isn’t possible. You can also envision what you want. If you choose to visualize what you want, you still need to do it often enough to make it familiar.

Other self help experts have also echoed this. Vishen Lakhiani of Mindvalley and Jen Sincero also encourage visualization. Jen Sincero is the author of You are a Badass and series.

Vishen provides guidance on how to visualize what you want. You can watch his guidance on youtube. He says that you should visuazlie what you want when your brain is in an alpha state. You can reach this state right after you wake up in the morning or when your mind is really calm from meditation. After you have accomplished that, then you want to visualize what you want on a big screen tv. He says it’s best not to visualize it on the back of your eyelids as that is not as effective. After you have visualized what you want for a couple of minutes then all you need to do is picture how what you want will help at least 2 other people. Visualizing your goals helping others makes them easier to obtain. Strangely this is something that Ed Mylett also speaks about. He speaks about attaching your goals to helping people. He says that many football players and athletes do the things they do because of family. He mentioned that T.O. accomplished a lot of his goals all because of his grandmother. Once you have finished your visualization, open your eyes and say may this or something better come true. If you implement this visualization technique, then you should be well on your way. Vishen says that you don’t need to repeat this which is pretty astonishing.

In conclusion, if you want to accomplish your goals but you aren’t sure what they look, begin putting together an idea of what they look like and start visualizing them. Visualize the house you want and where it will be. Visualize the sports car that you want and how much it will cost. This will make it more tangible and easier for your brain to obtain.
